Day 3 of our recent Career Camp was spent on a job site for Robertson Construction. We appreciate their willingness to host us. The kids learned a lot!

The Electronic and Computer Technology juniors (soon to be seniors) had 15 students pass their CompTIA A+ exam. Awesome job, y’all!

We had a full house at the recent graduation for our postsecondary Licensed Massage Therapy and Registered Medical Assisting programs. Proud of all of you and wishing you the best on your next steps!

Fire/EMT students working on extinguishing flammable gas this past year. Not a typical day for most high school students! #skillsmatter

This photos from this past year is our version of Rodin's "The Thinker". He was mulling over the problem in our Automotive Technologies program.

A senior group picture of the recent cohort from our ITEC program. Best of luck to them on the next steps of their journey!

Our Student Leadership Team is a big help to our Career Development Department every year as we introduce and share C-TEC with our community. Just before they left for the summer, we shared a little appreciation with them. Here are some of them, and our thanks go out to all of them!

In some of our satellite classes at Licking Valley Middle School, 8th grade students had the opportunity to design a Food Truck or Tiny Home using TinkerCAD. With the help of Tim Thompson from Robertson Construction, they were able to perfect their designs!
A great year at LVMS.

Hosted our first Career Camp this week. On day 1 the focus was on careers in Public Safety and Healthcare. Possible police officers, firemen, nurses, and physical therapists in this bunch.

The Licking County Chamber Community Leadership program featured two of our own employees this year. Proud of Ellen Nixon and Jayme Rardon, two of the best C-TEC has to offer. Great assets to our district!

Here are some misc. photos from our Honors Ceremonies. Sharing because we enjoy the memories of a happy day!

During the last weeks of school Mrs. Imhoff’s class from Granville Intermediate visited our Robotics and Automated Manufacturing lab to receive a remote-control project designed by RAM students Nathan Sarnes and Noah Fry. The RAM students also led various activity stations for the Granville students to learn specific functions of the lab. These stations included soldering, milling, 3D printing, and robotics.

Cool story alert.
Digital Design and Interactive Media rising senior Regan Ortiz is the illustrator for a children’s book, "Eli the Octopus". Regan’s English teacher, Rachel Brandenburg, asked her to illustrate the book she had written. Regan used the Procreate digital platform to create the illustrations in the summer of 2022.
Putting her skills, creativity, and interests to awesome use. Well done, Regan!

As seniors graduate high school remind them that they can earn the first year of their degree with
C-TEC Postsecondary Center.

This spring C-TEC hosted its annual Signing Day where the 550 incoming juniors came on campus to officially sign their intent, meet staff, get info, etc. It’s one of our favorite days of the year. Here is a video of the incoming class signing. #skillsmatter

On May 19, Walsh Turner Joint Venture hosted the C-TEC Welding and Metal Fabrication class at the new OSU Hospital. Students were able to tour a working construction site, interact with site management, engineers, welding inspectors and those who are working for various contractors across the trades. They were able to interact with C-TEC grads that are working on the site and a special thanks goes to Jessica Cardenas, welding grad and journeyperson, who spent countless hours coordinating this visit.
Students finished out the day touring Wolf Metals, employer of 8 C-TEC grads. Mike Wolf, son of founder Jim Wolf, talked to students about the precision fabricating and machining that they do for a broad range of customers.
We love everything about this!
