This spring C-TEC hosted its annual Signing Day where the 550 incoming juniors came on campus to officially sign their intent, meet staff, get info, etc. It’s one of our favorite days of the year. Here is a video of the incoming class signing. #skillsmatter

On May 19, Walsh Turner Joint Venture hosted the C-TEC Welding and Metal Fabrication class at the new OSU Hospital. Students were able to tour a working construction site, interact with site management, engineers, welding inspectors and those who are working for various contractors across the trades. They were able to interact with C-TEC grads that are working on the site and a special thanks goes to Jessica Cardenas, welding grad and journeyperson, who spent countless hours coordinating this visit.
Students finished out the day touring Wolf Metals, employer of 8 C-TEC grads. Mike Wolf, son of founder Jim Wolf, talked to students about the precision fabricating and machining that they do for a broad range of customers.
We love everything about this!
Two special young people, seniors (now grads) Ashley DeVito & Jack Laymon had two-year perfect attendance. Each received $200 in gift cards for their accomplishment of not missing a single day for their entire two years at C-TEC!
So awesome!
Did you know C-TEC Postsecondary offers training for HR soft skill related topics? This team was hard at work learning techniques to de-escalate conflict in the workplace, practicing active listening with customers, and discussing stress-relief strategies that help with today’s hectic lifestyles.
We can do this for your company as well. To learn more call 740-364-2267. Sessions are tailored to fit your company’s needs.

Student Gabrielle Jones also won an NCWIT award.
Proud of you both.
Our Robotics and Automated Manufacturing seniors have had an awesome year. All of them earned their Yellow Belt certification earlier this year, and now all have earned their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt! This is a big deal and is a product of their hard work! These sought after certifications will help them immensely as they pursue options after graduation. Very proud of all of them.
Today, we honor!

AEP Ohio came to Mr. Carducci's STEM class (a satellite class of ours at Licking Heights Middle School) to talk about electricity, and to give students a real world understanding of different careers within AEP. Some students were even allowed to go for a ride in their bucket truck. Soaring to new heights.
