Postsecondary staff member Michelle Wellman-Miller finished her official last week at C-TEC on June 21st.
Michelle has been teaching in the postsecondary center for 15 years, both in a part-time and full-time capacity.
Anyone who knows Michelle knows that she is a ROCKSTAR! Michelle has taught several programs and courses for us over the years…including Medical Office Specialist, Medical Coding, Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, as well as Anatomy and Physiology for the Massage Therapy program and the new Paramedic program!
Michelle is a dynamic instructor who truly cares about her students. She is knowledgeable, hardworking, and kind (not to mention hilarious).
We wish her nothing by the best in her future endeavors!

One aspect of our Construction Technology program that students can focus on is interior design. Love that there are so many varying avenues in this career field. #skillsmatter

One cool thing our Vet Science students did this spring was visit Chris Martin’s (a tutor in our FACTS CENTER) farm so that they could get firsthand experience with equine work. #skillsmatter

Our Postsecondary Testing Center won the Above and Beyond Award this year in Ohio, which means the testing staff has gone above the basics to deliver exceptional customer care and service while ensuring the test sponsors policies are enforced at the same time. This is a delicate balancing act that the proctors take pride in doing every day at C-TEC!

Working on assessing vitals in our postsecondary EMT program. Postsecondary Director Matt Thompson agreed to be the "patient." #skillsmatter

Excellent short term class opportunity coming to our Postsecondary Center in Fall of 2024!

Our former Medical Assisting instructor, Mrs. Cronin, was hands on. It is dedication when you allow students to practice a blood draw on you.

Congrats to our Career Development team who were awarded a "Meta New Albany Data Center Community Action Grant" to supply C-TEC’s Career Lab with career exploration tools for Licking County students to work with the latest workforce development technologies.
Well done, James, Ellen, and Jayme!

Fiftieth Flashback Friday.
We have enjoyed looking back at the last 50 years as we have celebrated our 50th Anniversary. This is the final 50th post, and we thought we would share a picture of our staff here at C-TEC during year 50.
Our wish is that we continue to grow and serve the students, schools, adults learners, and business & industry partners in central Ohio in a manner that lifts us all up for many years to come!
Thanks for being part of the journey!

Congrats to rising seniors (from Heath) Brayden Meacham and Landon Andrews, part of the Heath Bulldogs Division III State Champions baseball team. Brayden is in our Electrical Trades program and Landon is in Fire/EMT.
Proud you, and congrats to your whole team on this accomplishment.

Congrats to recently graduated senior (from our Electrical Trades program) Mason Miller, who had perfect attendance for his 2 years at C-TEC!
WELL DONE!!

Congrats to Postsecondary Evening Building Supervisor Ron Simpson on his retirement. Ron was with C-TEC 16 years and was a nightly presence in the postsecondary center, keeping an eye out and being the go-to guy for many years. Asked what he plans for retirement, he told us that he intends to do a “lot of four wheeling, and is going on a cruise in October.”
We appreciate your time at C-TEC, Ron. Enjoy your free evenings!

Together they were going to figure out what was going on up there, in our excellent secondary Automotive Technologies program.

Caught this moment this past year of some of our Criminal Justice students getting their workouts on.

Some miscellaneous moments we caught in our Postsecondary Heavy Truck program lab this spring. The program is enrolling now. These jobs are the ones that keep the supply chain moving! #skillsmatter

Just a a fella learning his trade this past year in our Robotics and Automated Manufacturing program. #skillsmatter

The first Jill of All Trades event hosted at C-TEC was a success. Many young women, grades 9-12, were teamed with mentors and spent the day learning about careers in the skilled trades.
Thanks to all of those who attended, volunteered, and sponsored this amazing day!

Our preschool is enrolling now for this September.

It's the hot season. The time of year where we are all grateful for those students who take HVAC programs. Our postsecondary HVAC program is currently enrolling.
