Gov. & first lady DeWine recently hosted some career tech superintendents for lunch to discuss CTE education in Ohio. Dr. Malainy was happy to report that they also enjoyed some cookies made by our Culinary Arts students.
Clinical Care juniors and Physical Therapy & Exercise Science seniors work together to practice transfers. It’s the things we take for granted in so many jobs that are so key!

Recently two of our Teaching Careers students spent the day in our Licking Heights Middle School classes teaching some lessons. These two ladies did a fantastic job, and we were impressed with their preparation, confidence, communication, lesson delivery, professionalism, and how engaged students were in the activities.

Happy New Year to you!
Awesome to have Intel’s Oho leadership team here recently, and it was great to hear from them that the students are the best part! The young man in the photo got unexpectedly pulled from class and was asked to give a couple minute presentation on the spot about his program to Intel leaders and a US Congressman. He delivered with zero nerves and minutes later the Intel OH HR lead was handing him his card! Proud!
Always climbing.
Always looking up.
Seems appropriate in our postsecondary Power Line program.
Next round of students will be starting this spring!
Junior & senior Cosmetology students presented Deb Dingus (herself a breast cancer survivor) a check in the amount of $1032.00 for the United Way’s efforts to help fight the disease. The students raised the money through various activities. Great cause!
The first semester is quickly passing and the Dental Assisting juniors have been practicing fluoride treatments!

Thank you to the Newark PD for allowing some of our Criminal Justice cadets to assist at the Cops and Kids-Shop with a Cop event held at the Newark Walmart this year. Cadets were able to assist local elementary students with their holiday shopping needs. We appreciate the chance for our students to help with this event!
A great lesson for the season!
It was pretty busy in our Construction Technology lab during our local CTSO competition day.
