This August C-TEC’s Postsecondary Center is launching a new initiative, called “Tec Talks”. The goal of this initiative is to connect central Ohio residents to teams of experts in our local community who can serve as a valuable resource. The Tec Talks will have a rotating focus of interest, and the first cohort will begin on August 3rd.
The goal of Tec Talks is to present a series of events and workshops that connect community experts to the public, for free. With a goal of presenting workshops that can benefit anyone in the community, these talks will be presented in series of 3-5 lessons on a particular subject, such as Finance, Organization and Time Management, and Personal Growth. Says Leslie McNemar, the Coordinator for Community Partnerships at C-TEC, “We wanted to start this program as a way to provide a community service to fill basic needs. C-TEC is in a unique position as a non-profit center of education to provide a place for constant growth.”
The inaugural series for Tec Talks will focus on Finances. The series schedule is:
Wednesday August 3rd, 5:30pm- Build your Savings and Emergency funds: the first step to debt relief and financial security – Presented by CES Credit Union
Thursday September 8th, 5:30
