C-TEC Postsecondary Center Director, Lauren Massie, was recently reelected to the Board of Directors for the Central Ohio Manufacturing Partnership (COMP); set to serve a second, three-year term. COMP is a manufacturing-led Industry Sector Partnership that was created to solve the common workforce training, retention, and recruitment challenges of its participating member manufacturers. COMP covers a 12-county region that includes: Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Knox, Licking, Logan, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Perry, Pickaway, Union. Its membership includes manufacturers of all sizes.
Lauren’s role on the 8-seat board of directors is to represent the one seat dedicated to educational institutions, representing all levels of K-12 through Postsecondary membership. When asked why she agreed to stand for reelection Lauren said, “COMP is an action-oriented industry sector partnership that’s made a tremendous impact on workforce development efforts in manufacturing across central Ohio since its 2017 inception. Ohio Technical Centers (OTCs) play an integral role as the leading technician-level training providers for our manufacturing partners, so representing C-TEC and OTCs on the board allows us to contribute more directly to driving COMP’s mission forward.”
C-TEC is pleased that COMP’s members recognize and value Lauren’s leadership on workforce development and looks forward to continued collaboration with COMP and manufacturing partners for the course of her term and beyond.
