Clinical Care (CC)

Explore the opportunities and challenges of the in-demand occupations within the medical world.
Students receive training in the following career paths: nursing assistant, point of care technician, and pharmacy technician. Upon completion of the state required curriculum, students take the State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA), EKG Technician Certification, Phlebotomy Technician  Certification, Point of Care Technician Certification, and Pharmacy Technician Certification. Additional certifications earned include CPR, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator, OSHA 10 hour Health Credential, and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).
Students give personal care to patients in nursing homes through clinical experiences.

Program Specifics

The Clinical Care program is for the student who is interested in patient care in the hospital or nursing home environment. Students get clinical experiences during this two-year program.
