Admissions

For an application to C-TEC, see your school guidance counselor. Applications are available in December after the Sophomore Hands-on program. However, if you have questions or need additional information, contact C-TEC’s Career Development Office at (740) 366-3351.

Applications are due to C-TEC’s Career Development Office the first Friday in February. Applications are accepted throughout the spring and summer if eligibility requirements are met and program space is available.

For eligibility to all career/technical programs, you must have:
• At least 9 credits on your transcript that meet graduation requirements
• Acceptable school attendance pattern
• Acceptable behavior pattern
• Supportive teacher recommendation
• Positive counselor recommendation
• Signed and completed application

For consideration in a College Tech Prep pathway, you must have:
• Met eligibility requirements above
• A minimum grade point average of 2.0
• Foundation in college prep classes, such as algebra
• No credit deficiencies

For consideration in the Teaching Professions Academy, you must:
• Successfully complete your junior year of high school
• Complete all college prep curriculum in math, science; English is recommended
• Have no credit deficiencies
• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5
• Have supportive/positive teacher and counselor recommendations
• Interview with school officials
• Successfully complete all 5 parts of the 9th grade proficiency tests
