Robotics and Automated Manufacturing | RAM

1Gain the necessary skills needed to succeed in today’s high tech manufacturing industry. This program is designed to ready students to enter into the high-skilled areas of robotics and industrial automation, or as a springboard toward an engineering degree.

The curriculum includes an introduction to CNC programming as well as skills needed to operate machining centers; program and teach robots; troubleshoot electrical controls; understand pneumatic and hydraulic theory and function; and work with PLC applications. These skills will be practiced in the lab and brought together the senior year with a capstone project developing a functional industrial-based work cell.

Program Specifics

The Robotics and Automated Manufacturing (RAM) program partners with the Manufacturing Council in Licking County and the companies involved in the 79 Seventy Corridor. This program is designed for the student who seeks the solution to how things work. RAM is project packed and challenging. The program will require the student to breakdown theoretical concepts and apply the concepts to solve manufacturing process constraints. (Minimum 2.5 GPA)
